Benicio Del Toro

Intense actor who has recently made the jump from intriguing supporting performances to more featured roles in Excess Baggage (1997) and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), where he plays sidekick Dr. Gonzo to Johnny Depp's main character. Del Toro won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actor his roles in The Usual Suspects (1995) and Basquiat (1996). He was propelled to Hollywood's A-list in 2000, appearing in Traffic, for which he won the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award, and Snatch.
